What movies or TV series have you watched more than 5 times?
Oh my gawd…without a doubt, the TV series I’ve watched more than five times has to be “Friends”. In fact, I have probably watched it more than a hundred times! It is one of those shows that I can put on anytime and it instantly lifts my mood.
I never get tired of it. I have even watched an episode at lunchtime when it has been on TV and then watched the exact same episode again that evening and still laughed out loud at the jokes. Somehow the humour never gets old.
The characters feel like old friends, the timing of the comedy is perfect, and even though I know many of the lines before they are said, they still make me laugh. For me, it is the ultimate comfort show and one that I will happily keep rewatching for years. That being said, I do find the first five series more funny than the last five so I normally just repeat the first few seasons.

I’ll never get tired of watching Friends either. I actually rewatched it not that long ago. It has aged well.

Oh I love it. Funny I hear people saying it hasn’t aged well, that the jokes are not appropriate today but I think we have to remember the times and appreciate it for what it is.

Whoops. Maybe that says something about my sense of humour then because I still find the show hilarious! But yes, it was written in a different time. Same with a bunch of other shows like the Office.

So true. Oh I still laugh my head off, I think you have to take some jokes with a pinch of salt.

I’ve been watching The Twilight Zone since I was a young child. I still watch it every time I see it on the air, even though I have it for streaming. I also like Friends, and M*A*S*H.

Oh I’ve heard of The Twilight Zone but never actually watched it. I must investigate further. There were so many shows that I used to love watching on repeat growing up like The A Team and Land of the Giants.

The Twilight Zone is from over 60 years ago but in a scary and sometimes tragic way, it remains relevant. Rod Serling, the show’s creator, was a master at writing and he had a view into mankind that was almost prescient.

I love those timeless classics that can still resonate today.

You have excellent taste. I say more dumb things before 9 a.m. than most people say all day, but this I know for sure.

Yes, we still watch Friends every day. Also Big Bang, Young Sheldon too. All many times and we still like them. The other comment mentioned Northern Exposure — such a great show! I liked it so much I bought the DVD series. 🙂

Ooh I don’t know that one, must check it out. Sadly I can’t watch Friends as often anymore as it has been taken off Netflix.

Could this BE any more of a perfect choice?

It’s interesting how certain shows just click with us. It’s comfort-watching. 🙂
For me, it’s a more obscure show that ran in the early to mid 1990s called Northern Exposure. It’s about a New York doctor who signs a contract that pays for his medical school debt, but he finds out too late that it requires him to be the doctor for a small town in rural Alaska. A great fish-out-of-water series with a cast of crazy characters.

I used to watch Big Bang Theory like that when I was still working. If it’s on it can be a great mood lifter and brain break. 😊

Love shows like that. Derry Girls is a more recent one for me that I can watch over and over again.
