What is your Saturday morning ritual? I work quite a lot of Saturdays, especially in the afternoons but I do have my Saturday morning routine, even if Iβm working later in the day or not. I just happen to enjoy my routine even more when I know Iβm not working later in the day.
I love to kick off the day with a gym session. A little lie in until about 8am and then hit a gym class. It may be tough at the time and you may wonder during the class βwhy did I come here? or βwhy do I do this to myself?β but believe me, you always feel better afterwards and are sure to have a spring in your step. Itβs a great way to start the day and kick off your weekend.

Afterwards, I love to go out for a coffee and some breakfast. Nothing better than a good feed after a workout. This morning we were fortunate enough to be able to sit outdoors in the sunshine. It was a perfect winters day here in Sydney.

I normally then have to get ready for work but not today! Today I am heading into the city to meet some friends from home. Looking forward to catching up and having some beers in the sun.
What about you? What do you love to do on a Saturday morning or what is your normal routine? No matter what you do, I hope you enjoy your weekend.

I love making a cup of tea, watching the sunrise and doing some research or reading. Anything that inspires me or opens my mind to new thoughts and ideas. Maybe texting my family if they’re awake π i like these simple posts sometimes.

Saturday routines vary… but my favourite is sitting on the door step of my house I just bought 2 months ago with my furbaby. First thing in the morning still in pjs, first coffee in hand and my not sitting beside me as we listen to the birds and the world waking up!

On Saturdays, I like to get up early, make a mug of coffee, sit on the back screened porch for a bit with the pup and get some fresh morning air, then enjoy some classic cartoons while we have breakfast (some variation of eggs, bacon and sausage). If we have errands, we head out right after breakfast to get them done and out of the way. If not, I hit the treadmill, then the rest of the day is solely for fun: reading, crafting, whatever floats my boat. I LOVE Saturdays.

When I am not working on a Saturday morning I take my Daisy dog walkies early before everyone is about, it’s very lovely π

That sounds lovely. Itβs great to go walking early in the morning when no one is about, especially if you have a canine companion π

Saturday is an odd day. If my husband is working the morning can be super busy. If not, we drink more tea than a small nation and talk. In the afternoon it is adventure time, we try to do something or go somewhere we haven’t been before. No routine seems to work best.

Bike riding is not for me. I have a foldable rower in my bedroom and row to music. Rowing supposedly
uses 80 some percent of your muscle.. Usually row ever day for 1/2 hrour.

Rowing is good too. Especially if you have some good music ππ»

When married would work half a day and the afternoon was for fun. Now I wash laundry and clean or
do anything that needs to be done, basically doing what I feel like doing.

Sometimes thatβs good too. Itβs nice to get your home in order, tidy home, tidy mindβ¦is that how the saying goes? π

Have a good day. If you drink, don’t drive! Happy Saturday! I just put out my blog post and podcasts starting 10AM. Have coffee and breakfast.

Sad to say, my Sasturday is now just like any other day. Mondays, Thursdays, Christmas…
When I was healthy I would start it with a short bike ride, just to get the country air in my lungs. Only about 25km, was only out of the house 3/4 hr. Same thinking as you, I guess.

A bike ride sounds awesome! I need to get a bike.

There was a big advantage to cycling in that, whatever you ate, you still lost weight. Certainly in my forties and becomming podgy, that was irresistable. Once upon a time I wore XS clothes!
But beware, it is a hobby that will consume your every spare penny. Because there is always some new gadget you need.

Your Saturday routine is good. Going to the gym is the best thing, Wayne. When I was working, I could only go to the gym on Sunday afternoon.
We both are retired. My husband sleeps in on Saturdays. We don’t have a Saturday routine. He and I go to the gym on Mondays and Thursdays. I have a Zoom writing class on Thursday afternoon. My daily routine on most days is having a cup of homemade espresso, checking the flowers in my garden, and checking emails. Wednesday to Friday, check the app from my granddaughters’ preschool to see the posting of photos of their school activities. Then most of the time is writing my book and checked the blogs.
