Thank you Di for this week’s questions.
1. It’s a Bank Holiday here in the UK, so a lot of us don’t have to go to work. Are you working today?
Yes I sure am, teaching today.
2. What do you like to do on your days off (not holiday/vacation)?
Have a nice lie in, even until 7am. Go for a scenic walk, take some photos, maybe go out for a coffee, lunch or dinner, nothing fancy.
3. Have you booked a holiday/vacation this year?
Yes, we are going home to Ireland in a couple of weeks, bring it on!
4. Have you ever had a Staycation (a holiday in your own country?
Yes I love staycations and we do them often. There is always so much to explore in your own country, be that Ireland or Australia.
Gratitude: I am extremely grateful to have survived work today 🙏🏽😅.

No holiday, but I’m not working today (and it’s my birthday).
Walk, exercise, do yardwork, read, watch YouTube, cook, write.
Yes, we travel to the UK & Ireland in mid June! Can’t wait.
Most of our lives we did staycations. Canada has amazing places to visit. We’ve visited 9 provinces and 1 territory, but I think Nova Scotia is still my favourite.

Staycations are fantastic, in my opinion. But then, I tend to enjoy seeing the sights around me. We have so many national and state forests around us, the Gulf of Mexico is just down the road, plus historic sites, farms, and botanical gardens and art galleries.
Plus, no crowded airplanes or standing in lines! 🙂

That sounds great Richard to be so close to the Gulf of Mexico. Oh I couldn’t agree more, no queues or worrying about luggage, just throw everything into the boot of your car and off you go.
