Just a 30 minute drive from our home in the Shire, this is a fantastic place to take visitors who want to see some of the famous Australian wildlife.
Reasons to visit Symbio:
– Get up close and personal with wildlife. Here you can meet and great with iconic Australian animals like kangaroos, wallabies, wombats and koalas.
– Interactive Experiences . You can hand-feed kangaroos, wallabies, alpacas and goats, engage in lively keeper talks, and dive into immersive behind-the-scenes encounters. This is such a novelty that not many other zoos can offer.

I do not need to get up close and personal with snakes or crocodiles but the rest are okay.

Sounds like an interesting place. I find zoos make me feel sad as the animals are locked up and not at all natural habitat. Might just be a me thing.

No I understand that completely. I was a mix of emotions today. I felt sad for the Cheetah and some of the birds. For others like the eagles, they were injured and would have been euthanised if not for the sanctuary so I didn’t feel as bad. I guess it’s how we learn about the animals but I agree that it can be sad.
