Happy Thursday everyone and welcome to another week of wonderful doors. I’ve realised that my weekly doors posts are the only things that are keeping me blogging at the moment, thank goodness for doors and to Dan for having the weekly door challenge.
With work being so busy, I just haven’t been able to travel much but hopefully that will change in the coming weeks. Don’t get me wrong, I am happy to be busy at work and grateful for the opportunities here in Australia.
This week I am showcasing a few doors from Huntington in England where my sister lives. I have visited many times, with the most recent trip being last month when I visited home. I was looking back through my doors and couldn’t believe that I actually haven’t posted many doors from Huntington as yet. Surprisingly to me as the doors there are exquisite.
As always, please do let me know if you have a favourite or if one simply stands out more.

I absolutely adore number five for the quaintness of the door, the glass panels, the wreath in situ and the exterior. I love everything about this cottage, including the thatched roof, the lantern on the wall and even the dog on top of the roof, apparently in remembrance of their previous pet pooch. What are your thoughts?
Thanks all and have a great end of the week.
Wayne
That second one makes me curious: the door and the mismatched bricks seem to pose questions. Yet I’d love to be invited in. Number 5 is completely wonderful — I’m with you on that! Good doors, all.

Thanks very much!!! I know what you mean about the second house. Ive just realised there are no windows on one side, just bricks, how strange.

Really interesting roof on that last one. Wonder how long it’s been up there.

Good question Pat. When I return I must ask the owner if I see them.

I thought I already posted. I love your door posts. Always look for them.
Like you I went with number 5. It takes me to another time and place.I like
that feeling of being able to see magic in a house and that has all of the right
angles and accoressories. It’s a place I would adore living in, I am sure.

Oh I think so too. I’m sure it’s a lovely home inside. Thanks so much for your comment as always 🤗🤗

I love the cottage also. I love anything that takes me back in time or place. I guess somewhere in time I lived elsewhere. It is just so snug and cozy.

Definitely number 5. That dog on the roof is amazing. But I do wonder why they put it on the roof rather than in the garden where they could see it from a window. But it’s a lovely building, and reminds me of all the thatched cottages in southern England. I’d have loved to have had a look around inside that home, Wayne. I can imagine low ceilings and doorframes, so just as well I’m only 5ft 6′.

Haha yes maybe not great for a taller person. Thank you Hugh, I loved walking past this home many times and would loved to have seen inside. The dog is a lovely feature, even on the roof.

My favorite door is #5. There is a quaintness about the door, and the house looks so “English”. It must be hard at times being so far away from home.

Ah it can be hard but just have to remember we all have to live our own lives. I love the quaintness of that house. Thanks for your comment ☺️

Splendid doors. First one is beautiful, but the last one, the entire house is perfection

Thank you Tanja. I would love to live in the last house.

It isn’t easy to select just one door, Wayne. I love the colours of the pink and green ones but as a dog-mad person, it has to be the last one!

Love it! Thank you. I agree with it not being easy as I loved the pink one too.

#2 is stunningly beautiful, but the dog in #5 caught my attention before I opened the gallery. That’s my favorite form this great collection.
I am glad that you found the time to join us, Wayne. You always bring us great doors.

Wow – that takes me back – I used to live in the Riverside Mill in Huntington, when I worked in Brampton. That was all a very long time ago. Great doors.

Thanks Sheree! Love the green one,
Very Irish. I imagined a leprechaun could be living there.
