Bloganuary Day 20 (2024)

What’s your dream job?

I’m not sure if a dream job exists but if there does, please let me know!

I would love a job that would let you have a lie in and also finish early. So if I could work maybe 11 – 2pm with an hour lunch break haha, that would be amazing.

I actually wouldn’t mind what I do, perhaps I could be available to give out money to people, like a competition winner announcer. So you are able to make people happy, help them, tell them the good news and feel good for doing it, all while not being tired or stressed yourself. That would be a lovely job. Do you know if this job exists anywhere?

I’m writing this at 5.30 am on my way to work. Although, I’m grateful to have a job that I actually enjoy and still have the ability to work, so I can’t complain too much.

  1. I am currently on my journey to work in my dream job. My page is related to it as well. But I want to work as a travel agent and work remotely. Why? Because I plan on living in Mexico! And being able to from there and live life would be amazing. I have completed every step in order to achieve that dream, all I need now is the remote job that I am currently studying for.

  2. My dream job is neurosurgeon, due to the intensive skill it requires and the gratification it ultimately provides.

  3. My dream job would be to be a historian. I love spending hours online, going down one rabbit hole after another, learning obscure details, etc, and then correlate said research into concise reports for whomever. I guess, if I’m honest, it doesn’t just have to be historical research. I’d be just as happy doing most any other type of research as I would history..

  4. I do envy people that have dream jobs or work in jobs that make them really happy and fulfilled. I personally haven’t found anything like that which turned me into a bit of a jack of all trades master of none. I’m sure there’s something out there for me though

      1. As someone who has to get blood taken often I really appreciate the amount of work nurses put in every day. I’ve had my blood taken by doctors before and they always do the worst job and leave massive bruises. Pay for nurses is pretty poor where I live too although the most recent strikes helped a little with that

  5. I have (or have had) three dream jobs. I loved to dance and was able to make my living out of it, having worked as a dancer, balletmaster, choreographer and art director.

As a minister or pastor I continue to make people happy, help them, tell them the good news and feel good for doing it.

I would answer positively at your question: Do you know if this job exists anywhere?

  6. I think you need to move to Oz, Wayne. Your wish reminded me of the song, after Dorothy and the gang finally made it to Oz.

We get up at twelve and start work at one.
Take and hour for lunch and then at two we’re done.
    Jolly good run.
    Ha-ha-ha! Ho-ho-ho! And a couple of tra-la-las,
That’s how we laugh the day away
In The Merry Old Land of Oz.

I hope you have a jolly good weekend.

  7. As most of my life when younger was wanting to make it in the music industry, but as you know it is not an easy road to travel, but I sure enjoyed the journey and had many experiences that I will not forget. Since I did not make it while out there singing I chose to go into the computer world. I almost had it and as I told you before that didn’t work out due to health issues so now, I would just like to hit the lottery to open an animal sanctuary and shelter for the homeless. What good is money if you can’t share it with those in need and as long as I have enough to get me through I am content.

    1. Oh wow that would be fascinating to have dabbled in the music industry, I’m sure you have a few stories! An animal sanctuary would be a lovely job. You’re right about needing to share the money and it doesn’t always bring happiness.

      1. No, money is a necessity but it doesn’t bring happiness and having an animal sanctuary would be a dream come true. 🙂 Now that would bring me happiness saving the furchildren!!
