Come up with a crazy business idea.
What about this for a crazy idea. A store where you can buy furniture online, they deliver it to your house and assemble it for you. That would be absolutely amazing for me right now.
In good news, we have found a beautiful apartment to rent just out of the city. I have to call this morning to pay the deposit and secure the deal.
Next steps will be to buy the furniture and other bits and pieces. I really enjoy buying new furniture etc. but I really hate having to build them. The big items are the worst like a bed and sofa. If the retail store could have their staff assemble them for me, I would be absolutely delighted!
I wonder does this already exist somewhere? I am yet to hear about it.

Don’t they have sites like gumtree or freecycle where you could pick up stuff for free?!

Agreed. I look these days at ready-built furniture only. That carries a hefty premium but I don’t really have a choice.

Watch out, though, they can be funny. We’ll only deliver it to your front door, not to the designated room. Nonsense like that. Okay, it’s not a big deal, but it seems pedantic.

It’s an AWESOME idea, Wayne!!! I would legitimately pay good money for not only furniture DELIVERY but for the person delivering to put it together, too! I think you’re onto a winner here.

I think there’s an app here (Taskrabbit?) where you can hire people to do such tasks. Maybe there’s something similar in your neck of the woods?

Sure you can have it all (atleast in Finland). It’s possible that assembly may need to be ordered for separately (perhaps depending on the company/store), and it comes with some cost but if you can afford it, then it’s definitely worthwhile.
