Bloganuary day 3. Today we lost a bank card in the ATM. It was just sucked in and never returned. This is honestly one of the most annoying things to happen and definitely feels like a lost treasure. We finally received the PIN number for the card, after waiting for, what seems, an eternity. We tried to change the pin at the hole in the wall, which we successfully managed to do. However, the machine did not want to return the card. It’s one of those moments where you want to scream or pull your hair out. Back to the bank again tomorrow to order a new bank card and another PIN number, which will take seven days to arrive. Aaaaaaaah!!! 😭
Have you ever experienced this? Sadly, it’s happened me a couple of times and it always makes me detest banks that little bit more than previously.

Happened to me once. Thankfully, the bank staff was quick to respond and I got my ATM card back within an hour.

I was also surprised when this happened because normal time to get back your stuck ATM card here is 24 hours.

I feel your pain. On Saturday, I left work without my valuables which were in my locker. That included my bank card, house keys, phone etc. Thank goodness my landlords were home so I could pick up some keys from them on Saturday evening. As they were closed the past two bank holidays, I nipped in today (not working there today) so I could get my things out of my locker. But I could not get my padlock to open. It is a huge great big padlock, but for some reason it would not budge. I had to go…but they called a security agency to bring some bold cutters to remove the padlock. I rang back a few hours later and they said that nobody had turned up. I nipped in again this evening…and one of the managers had basically had to destroy the locker itself in order to recover my valuables.
What a palaver!!!!

So sorry to hear that. It is the most frusting thing! I hope you are receive a pleasant surprise and the card arrives sooner.
Btw, I am so glad you seem to be getting the prompts a day early. At least I can start thinking about what to write tomorrow. My prompts only come through on email at about 2pm SA time.
