This poinsettia was discovered near my home in Bondi Junction, Sydney. It originates from Mexico and Central America and is today a very common decoration in the United States, specifically at Christmas time. This species is known for being a poisonous weed but also an ornamental flower. It just grabbed my attention with its striking colours and beauty. A classic example of how looks can be deceiving π.
Happy Friday everyone and I hope you all have a lovely weekend, whatever way you plan to spend it.
I love the plant and the cocktail it inspired:
1 Bottle of Prosseco
1/2 Cup of Triple Sec
2 Cups cranberry juice

Also extremely poisonous to pets especially kitties. So, we never have them at home. Lovely looking flower though.

Yes I read that too. Best not to have at home with your pets.
