Fate / Destiny

Do you believe in fate/destiny?

Yes I believe I do but not in a dramatic, everything-is-written in the stars way but more so in a steady, reassuring way. I have always lived by the saying:

“What’s for you, won’t pass you.”

If it is meant for you, the job, the opportunity, the person, it won’t disappear because of one setback. It won’t require you to beg, force, or lose yourself trying to hold onto it…and if it does pass you by then it probably wasn’t meant for you anyway.

That belief has given me peace more than anything else. Missed chances don’t punch as hard when you trust that the right ones will land. Nevertheless, you still have to show up and you still have to try, but what’s aligned for you will stay.

One of my favourite shows.

  1. I cannot even begin to tell you how your words resonate with me. Yes, everything you said it what I too live by. My dear grandmother always use to say, “What is for you, won’t go by you.” When I read what you wrote, I thought, wow, that’s confirmation for me.

    Thank you so much, Wayne!

  2. I’m more in the ‘random chance’ mindset, but there are times when things work out a certain way and I can’t help but think it was destined to be.

Hope you have a wonderful week, Wayne. 🙂
