Thank you Di for this week’s questions.
1. What time did you get up this morning?
6am. This is my normal time when I’m working.
2. What are your plans for today?
I’m teaching today, all day. In the evening I will go to the gym for my Tuesday night gym class and afterwards will cook a nice dinner with my other half. We may watch a little tv before getting ready for another day of work. Prepare breakfast, lunch and have my uniform ready for another working day tomorrow 😜.
3. Has 2026 been a good/better year for you so far?
So far so good, no complaints. We’re plodding along with work and have already travelled for a few days at the beginning of January. Now it’s time to get the head down and focus on work, saving money and enjoying the simple pleasures of life.
4. What is on your meal menu for today?
Ooh now that’s a question. I have some leftover chicken so may create a meal using that.
Gratitude
Delighted to have survived Monday and Tuesday!
Thanks for joining in Wayne. Enjoy the rest of your week!

Glad to hear 2026 has been good so far! I’m counting down the days to the weekend! Monday is a holiday here and we plan to go away for a few days.

Surviving Mondays and Tuesdays always feels like an Olympic accomplishment!
I second the suggestion of chicken soup. Always a quick and easy use for leftover chicken. Also, chicken salad with a bit of celery, bell pepper, maybe some crumbled walnuts….just sayin’. 🙂

Oh that pasta salad sounds delicious! We ended up making pesto pasta with veggies. I will have a new lease of life tomorrow seeing as it’s hump day, halfway towards the weekend.

Getting through the first couple of days of the working week with your sanity intact is always an achievement! You had chicken; I made chicken soup. 😊
