Happy Thursday everyone and welcome to another wonderful week of doors. This week I am showcasing some very special doors that are attached to some very special motor vehicles. You may remember I mentioned that we attended an event in Perth known as the Celebration of Motorsport at Langley Park just last month.
It is a free event that brings together car lovers and racing fans for a fun day out. It showcases everything from classic cars and hot rods to modern race vehicles, with live displays and plenty to see and do along the Swan River. It is a great day for families, enthusiasts, and anyone who enjoys the excitement of motorsport or like us if you simply appreciate looking at old cars.
We absolutely loved this event and couldn’t believe our luck to stumble across it. I want to show you all the majority of cars that we managed to see. Let me know of you have a favourite and maybe why because as much as I love the aesthetic of classic cars, I am in no way knowledgeable about them, other than if I like its appearance or not. These cars reminded me of the kind of toy cars I would have played with as a kid.

There are so, so many to choose from and these were just my favourites on the day! I absolutely love numbers 3, 13, 19, 22 and 23. How cool would it be to drive one of these???
They really do look like toy cars. I love how bright and colourful they are. My father-in-law would love this event. He’s a huge fan of classic cars.

I love car shows and this one looks wonderful! I like the color of that Chrysler (#13), but the Chevy Bel Air will always be my favorite (#21). I have never seen a pink one though–wow!!

The VW, #19 image, brings up fun memories thus my favorite of your colorful collection.

Oh I love a VW too but have never been in one. Would love to experience one day.

Wow!! I love this, what a great theme for doors, Wayne!
Great photos all around, and the landscape you captured around the venue is breathtaking. Perth looks like a beautiful place to visit or live.
I don’t know much about cars, Wayne, but my favorite and the ones I recognize are the Lamborghinis in number 7 and 22. Your photos are superb, you captured the palm trees, the ocean and the city skyline across the water, lovely presentation.
Thank you for the great tour. I feel as though I visited this celebration of Motosport too, outstanding! Thank you, Wayne!

Thank you so much Suzette!!!! The cars were fantastic, you’re right, the environment, the trees, ocean, sunshine and blue skies all ensured it was a beautiful experience.

My partner would have loved going to that classic car event. Me, not so much, Wayne. But I do love the VW Camper in photo number 19. VW has an ID Buzz out at the moment, which is an all-electric vehicle that I love the look of. I dare not check how much they cost, though.

Many thanks Hugh! I also love the VW camper, they are so popular today. I wonder if I will ever drive one.

Only you have the answer to that question, Wayne. I’d say ‘do it.’

An unexpected twist on the theme, Wayne! I like it.
It’s been ages since I’ve been to a car show. You picked a fine selection to showcase here…too many beautiful cars to pick a favorite (although I am a fan of the old muscle cars from the 1960s).

Thanks Richard. I had no idea that’s what those cars were called, pretty cool.

I am not a motor enthusiast, but rather oddly, find shows like this incredibly interesting. The cars all look in great condition in the sunlight. I think it is difficult to beat the modesty of a mini classic (10). Great post.

I remember some of these (with the steering wheel on the other side!) but like you I just for the most part admire them. I do know a bit about classic muscle cars because time was that I really wanted one but that never came to pass.

Oh it would be amazing to have one but I imagine there would be a lot of up keep to maintain their condition.

What an impressive show, Wayne, and it looks like it was held in a wonderful spot. I love car shows, and this was a great one. I can’t pick a favorite, but numbers 3, 5, 6, 7, 13, 14, 20 look pretty good to me
