Doors of WordPress V108

Hi everyone, good morning, good evening and good night and welcome to another week of wonderful doors. This week I am showcasing some of my final doors from my trip to Carlingford in Ireland this time two years ago (where is the time going?).

My iCloud storage has almost reached it’s capacity and I don’t want to pay any more than I already do, so I’m wondering for all the door enthusiasts, do you keep all your doors on your computer or do you delete them once you have posted them on your blog? I was thinking of deleting mine but I just couldn’t bring myself to do it haha. I would be intrigued to hear your thoughts. Also if you have a favourite this week, please feel free to share.

My fave this week is number 5. Great colour and character and I love that it sits perfectly in the building’s fantastic brick work. It also has a cute little transom window with the arch above it. How I would love to see behind that door and have a good nosey!!

  1. These are all such beautiful doors 🙂 I know it’s challenging to delete any photos, but if you are not using them, they are just turning into digital waste. I usually start by deleting the ones that are too dark, overexposed, blurry and the ones that I just downright don’t like or think are boring. As a photographer, my struggle was with the feeling that there’s always a use case I haven’t spotted yet, and it’d really suck if I found it too late. Funny thing: I’ve never yet regretted deleting a photo, in all these years. Thanks for sharing, and have a wonderful day 🙂 Aiva xx

  2. Lovely Irish doors. I’m probably cheating, but my favorite is a tie between #4 & #5! I have a dreadful time deleting photos of doors, family, adventures, etc. I keep them on external hard drives because I don’t want to pay for more storage. 🙂

  5. Five is my favourite too, not just for the door but for the stone wall. I don’t post doors, but we keep all of our pictures on 2 external hard drives. We use 2 because when we had one, it was accidently dropped and stopped working, so we have a backup for our back up. 😊 Maggie

  6. I go through my cloud storage a few times a year – there are an inordinate number of photos that I can just get rid of. Like photos of my electric meter! But for my blog, I used to keep the hi res images on my computer and use a graphics package to shrink them to put on the blog. Mostly, anyhow.

  9. Wayne, my iCloud storage too is massive and I can’t even delete photos I took and didn’t want let alone ones I share on WordPress. Ha! I do keep my photos backed up and in Lightroom so I can “in theory” delete-delete-delete and still have copies.

    Door 5 has such character and I like the way you framed the shot. Hope your week and iCloud go well!

  12. I was pretty sure I would choose #4, the front door of the church, but I like that side door better. I don’t see blue doors that often.

    As to storage, I’m in the same boat with iCloud, and I don’t want to pay more. I have a subscription to Office 365 (It’ might be called Microsoft 365 now). In any case, it’s the family subscription, and it gives every member (up to 6) a 1 TB of storage account in One Drive. I move all my photos there so I can still access them, but I also back them up on a USB backup drive.
