What is one thing you would change about yourself?
If I could change one thing about myself, it could be how certain small things have a habit of sticking in my mind. I’m not the world’s worst overthinker, but every now and then a little situation, usually something from work, can replay in my head far more than it needs to. The annoying part is that it creeps into my nights too, sitting in my unconscious and messing with my sleep. I’d love to be able to switch off a bit easier and not let those tiny moments take up so much space.

I feel like that sometimes. Everything will be okay.

I think it’s something a lot of people struggle with; you’re not alone Wayne.

Thanks Sheree, it’s always a comfort to know others are the same.

Please let it go…let it wash, we’d say here……p.s who is the man in the giff?

Haha who knows but he sums it up well.

I can relate. I often find that it happens to me when I am angry or embarrassed about something. I haven’t figured out how to stop either but I am more aware of it so I am closer to a solution.
Good luck with figuring out how to change it.

try to remember that everything in life is temporary, there is nothing that cannot be changed (except death), and it will not matter in a very short time.

That’s so true Beth, thank you.

I’m guilty of this too. It’s wild how the smallest moments can take up the biggest mental space. Even when we know it’s not worth stressing over, our brains sometimes replay things on a loop anyway. Learning to switch off is definitely a skill, and I think a lot of us are still figuring it out. 😌

That’s a good way to put it, replays things in a loop! That’s so me and also mostly insignificant things that I can settle in a matter of minutes!

I feel this and I can relate. What I do is pause, take a deep breath and consciously replace any spiraling thought with something steady. It creates enough quiet for me to rest.

Yes I try to do this also, it’s a great technique. Thanks for the reminder.

Oof, I feel this, Wayne. I’m guilty of this, as well. However, I’ve found that breathing exercises help to clear away the thoughts so I can refocus on something else.

Yes that’s a great idea Richard. I’m going to try that next time actually.

I think this happens to some degree to everyone. Meditation could help you to set aside the work day.

Something like that can be annoying especially when it affects sleep.
