Learning to switch off

What is one thing you would change about yourself?

If I could change one thing about myself, it could be how certain small things have a habit of sticking in my mind. I’m not the world’s worst overthinker, but every now and then a little situation, usually something from work, can replay in my head far more than it needs to. The annoying part is that it creeps into my nights too, sitting in my unconscious and messing with my sleep. I’d love to be able to switch off a bit easier and not let those tiny moments take up so much space.

  1. I can relate. I often find that it happens to me when I am angry or embarrassed about something. I haven’t figured out how to stop either but I am more aware of it so I am closer to a solution.
Good luck with figuring out how to change it.

  2. I’m guilty of this too. It’s wild how the smallest moments can take up the biggest mental space. Even when we know it’s not worth stressing over, our brains sometimes replay things on a loop anyway. Learning to switch off is definitely a skill, and I think a lot of us are still figuring it out. 😌
