What profession do you admire most and why?
A profession is a type of job or career that usually requires special training, education, or skills, and is often recognized by “society” as important or specialized.
For example:
Teaching is a profession because it requires qualifications and expertise. Medicine, law, engineering, and accounting are all considered professions.
It can also simply mean the kind of work someone does, for example, “His profession is retail”.
I admire any profession that helps others and that isn’t the most glamorous, for example, doctors, nurses, teachers, physiotherapists. However, I admire most jobs out there, especially the people who carry out certain jobs. I admire their passion for their job, their character and making the consumer feel positive.
I admire anyone who is working hard, granted you need to have the ability to work. I will treat a doctor or lawyer the same way I would treat a cleaner or a taxi driver, a shop assistant or a dentist. I admire those who want to work, who try their hardest to find employment and want to make a difference. Those who have to overcome illness or live with a chronic condition, where it takes all their might to work even a few hours a week.
I also believe a person’s character can be revealed by the way they treat people in jobs that are often undervalued or considered “less prestigious”. If you are rude to the waiter, we’re going to have issues!
I think the professions that deserve the most respect are the ones that fall under the radar (and maybe don’t necessarily need specialized training):
Sanitation workers, for example. Our society would fall apart without them, but they are generally overlooked when it comes to respect.

Loved your answer to this prompt, Wayne. Love also that you treat ALL professions equally and wouldn’t give preference to a Doctor over a cleaner. We’re all important, right? So true about someone’s character revealed in how they treat people in customer service/lower paid work. When I was dating boys, if any were rude to waitstaff, I’d cross them off mentally and they wouldn’t get a 2nd date xx

Absolutely Janet. I don’t want a friend who can be rude to anyone! Thanks for your comment ☺️☺️
