Happy Thursday everyone and welcome to another week of wonderful doors. This week I am showcasing some doors that I spotted last weekend when I travelled to the city to meet friends for lunch. These doors are all from a quirky neighbourhood known as Surry Hills. I’m pretty sure I have shown doors from here before but these are from a side of Surry Hills that I don’t frequent often. I was delighted to see so many beautiful homes, many of which had the most amazing and colourful doors.
I’m not sure if it’s just me but the world seems pretty gloomy at the moment and I can’t help but follow what is happening with Trump in America and think about how his decisions are affecting the world as a whole. I’m splashing some colour to you all this week and hopefully put a smile on your face. These doors certainly made me smile!
Let me know of you have a favourite this week.

My favourite this week is number four. This is such an unusual colour for a door, at least for me. I have never seen one quite like this and I feel that it blends really well with the cactus growing beside it. I love the leaves on the floor too, very autumnal feeling, yet I feel like it could be a home in the desert haha.
Have a great end to your week everyone.
Wayne
I really like the first one (what is it about a bike, casually propped?) and the cafe with the pink door looks inviting. We have a couple of super orange doors in my town, Tavira, and must include them one of these days xx

I am torn. The bicycle with the flowers in the basket is a lovely image, but I’m always partial to red doors. The red and bright green are twins, yes? Just dressed differently. Thanks so much for thinking of us here! Cheery colors much appreciated!

Thank you Wayne for the bright colors and good cheer you sent along with these beautiful doors.
I could not pick a favorite today, but I am a bit partial to number four because it is an unusual style which I have not seen before and the cactus adds a tropical feel to the photo which I resonate with personally.

Things are pretty gloomy here in Canada, so thanks for brightening up my day! Love them all, but I think I like the green one best. Maggie

I think I like the door with the bicycle the best. It adds a certain something to the whole feel. And no, it’s not just you. The world is a gloomy place right now, with felon 34 totally upending everything in the USA. It is indeed depressing.

Thanks for your feedback, the bike definitely makes it. It’s hard to shake off the news, even just this morning the first thing I see is a news article regarding Trump’s next decisions, it’s never ending. Anyway, it’s Friday here and I have that Friday feeling haha.

A door with a bike? My favourite has to be no 1, though they’re all great.

Thanks for adding a splash of color and fun to a week in which it’s hard to find either where I am. I like door number one the best. I like the door, but the decorated bicycle really made me smile. Thanks Wayne. I hope you have a great weekend ahead.

Thanks very much Dan. I love the bicycle too! The whole aesthetic is wonderful, the colours all blend so well. I wasn’t sure the bike actually gets used or is it there for decoration…or both perhaps! 🤔

Pretty doors, and the colors remind me of Christmas colors. But I like the pink door best. I’ve never seen a pink door before, and the business looks interesting, too. 🙂
