Happy Thursday everyone and welcome to another week of doors.

I’m not sure if any one will know this but today is in fact National Irish Coffee Day…and I love Irish coffees!!! When I am home in Northern Ireland, I will always try and have at least one. In 2019 I asked my Dad to show me how to make them. I think he was proud to teach me and they tasted delicious.

In honour of it being this day, I thought I would showcase some of my recent and favourite public house doors from Northern Ireland. As always, let me know if you have a favourite.

Have you ever tried an Irish coffee??? I could have one right now, however, it’s only 7am here!

Aw… I missed it. I’ll have to have one today to make up for it. Is that allowed?
I have to say, I do make a really good Irish Coffee. Jameson is my secret!
The Plough looks very inviting!

When my husband still drank, I put some whisky in my coffee. You look happy in the photo, Wayne. For the doors, the Stillhouse door likes nice.

Aww thank you Miriam! I used to put a shot of baileys in my coffee now and again although it’s very sweet.

Oh, I like the bitter taste of the coffee. I use unflavored creamer so my coffee is not sweet.

That’s perfect. I don’t normally put anything in mine, maybe a spoonful of honey in the mornings.

Some fantastic door pictures, Wayne. I have tried Irish coffee, but not sure if they taste the same as in N. Ireland. I mean the authentic flavour might not be the same. You know even if the beans are imported the person making the coffee is a local guy so who knows mate? 🙂

Who knows haha! All depends how the beans are ground I suppose.

Aside from the photo of the three of you (the best!) I’m going with the Waterfall Bar. I like the way the accent strip goes low and then travels up and over the windows.
I’ve had Irish Coffee, and, I wish I had your dad’s instructions. I never thought there was mush to making it, but I’ve been surprised how it is much better in some places than it is in others.

Yeah I have had some terrible Irish coffees too, there’s a skill to it 😉

The best photo is the one of you three holding the Irish coffees! For the doors, I like the Cellar Bar because of the green accents and the red flowers. 🙂

My favourite of those doors is The Plough. I wanted it to be the Parson’s Nose just because what a fabulous name ha ha.
Ah to get to Northern Ireland one more time…

That’s great you have been before! Oh The Plough is a fantastic place. I really wish I had a photo of the main front door as this was a side door.

I really like the heading door with the rock entrance before the door. It’s kind of cool. I don’t drink alcohol and never tried Irish Coffee. Glad you enjoy it in moderation.

I wonder how you manage to write a blog before 7 am! 😃
I wish to publish my posts early at least around 10 am… but I always end up doing it after 12pm 😂.
Lovely pictures of various doors, Wayne. 😊

Haha good question. I have to get my train at 6am and it takes about an hour. Perfect time to be writing a blog post, although sometimes I struggle to keep my eyes open.
