Doors of WordPress V73

Happy Thursday everyone and welcome to another week of doors.

I’m not sure if any one will know this but today is in fact National Irish Coffee Day…and I love Irish coffees!!! When I am home in Northern Ireland, I will always try and have at least one. In 2019 I asked my Dad to show me how to make them. I think he was proud to teach me and they tasted delicious.

I swear I’m happier than I look 😅

In honour of it being this day, I thought I would showcase some of my recent and favourite public house doors from Northern Ireland. As always, let me know if you have a favourite.

Have you ever tried an Irish coffee??? I could have one right now, however, it’s only 7am here!

  1. Aw… I missed it. I’ll have to have one today to make up for it. Is that allowed?
I have to say, I do make a really good Irish Coffee. Jameson is my secret!
    The Plough looks very inviting!

  2. Some fantastic door pictures, Wayne. I have tried Irish coffee, but not sure if they taste the same as in N. Ireland. I mean the authentic flavour might not be the same. You know even if the beans are imported the person making the coffee is a local guy so who knows mate? 🙂

  3. Aside from the photo of the three of you (the best!) I’m going with the Waterfall Bar. I like the way the accent strip goes low and then travels up and over the windows.

I’ve had Irish Coffee, and, I wish I had your dad’s instructions. I never thought there was mush to making it, but I’ve been surprised how it is much better in some places than it is in others.

  4. My favourite of those doors is The Plough. I wanted it to be the Parson’s Nose just because what a fabulous name ha ha.
Ah to get to Northern Ireland one more time…

  5. I really like the heading door with the rock entrance before the door. It’s kind of cool. I don’t drink alcohol and never tried Irish Coffee. Glad you enjoy it in moderation.
