Do you play in your daily life? What says “playtime” to you?
I’m not sure what this means at my age, I guess it could be anything that provides enjoyment in your life. When I think of play, my immediate reaction would be to think of the games I play on my phone. I play these games not to pass the time but more to relax and take my mind of other things. I have been playing the same couple of games for years now (at least 10 years). They started off as a distraction from studying but now they are something I enjoy to do if I have some free time. I may only play these for 15 minutes a day or it could be more if I am procrastinating.
I’m not ashamed to say I play Pet Rescue (this started off as a game on Facebook many years ago) and Pokemon (which I know is often associated with younger people). I find them entertaining, somewhat stimulating and a good distraction from any responsibilities I have.
Am I the only one who plays these? Do you have a favourite game on your phone? Candy crush? Tetris perhaps? Or does anyone remember Snake on the old Nokia phones??

Scrabble, Tetris, marvel snap, and chess are usually what I’m playing

I play some games on my Kindle, and two or three on my main PC. They are just real easy ones, like match 3. I hardly go to candy crush any more because I got stuck on a level. It gets boring if you can’t keep progressing the levels (and I won’t pay for any of these) 🙂

I totally agree. It becomes agitating when you become stuck on a level. Also I don’t not want to pay either. I had no idea you could play games on a kindle, thanks for the heads up 🤗

You’re welcome. One very simple but fun one is called Flow Free. I also play Cradle of Rome and Enchanted Cavern on my desktop computer. 🙂

I have two games I play on computer Mah Jong and solitaire…not as often as I used to, but I enjoy them when I take time to play them. I think with games on cell lots of people probably play some form.

I have a few selected games I play on my phone just about every morning. Sudoku, Wordle, Just Jumble, Cryptogram, Puzzle Page, and Jackpot Wins. I play these games to keep my brain active. I originally thought that “playing” meant things more physical, like playing golf, tennis, softball, volleyball, etc. In my earlier days I played on two softball teams; one women’s team, one co-ed. I also played on a volleyball team. But now at the age of 76, being the owner of my hefty, arthritis body; I focus keeping my “mind muscles” active.

Keeping the mind muscles going is important. I too love wordle and recently have started playing Globle, where you have to guess the country on the world map.

Great idea. I love board games. I love playing UNO with the little ones in the family, it still seems to be popular.

Compliments of the season! I also play online games for relaxation purposes. Scrabble is my go to. I deleted Candy crush when I was on one of my “taking my time back” missions 😂. Spider solitaire is my current addiction 🤦🏽♀️

Oh I used to love spider solitaire!!! They’re great for relaxation…unless you become stuck on a tricky level 🙈

Lol. Very true. That’s probably one of the reasons why I deleted candy crush as well 🙈😂
