Tuesday Thoughts 💭 – Share Your World 28-06-22

Melanie’s questions from her Share Your World this week are:

What’s your favorite way to spend a day off?

Most of you probably know this by now 🤣 but I love going to the gym, going out for a coffee and walking. Lots and lots of walking. Maybe about 20,000 steps along a coastal route would be perfect for me.

Now that Covid isn’t so strictly monitored and folks can go out and about again, are you into after-work happy hours?

Not really to be honest. As I’m a nurse, I don’t really have the time to attend happy hours. If I am free in the afternoon, I usually head to the gym. I don’t really drink during the week and they don’t seem to have happy hours at the weekends much. Don’t get me wrong, I love happy hours but they just don’t fit into my daily schedule.

What physical traits do you share with your relatives?

Wrinkles. The ONE physical feature I have from my Dad’s side is wrinkles on my face and lots of them around my eyes. Sad but true 😜 but at least I have my hair on my head.

How long does it take you to decide if you like someone or not?

I normally make my mind up pretty quickly and I like to feel I’m a good judge of character. I like most people thankfully 😅.

Feel free to share some wisdom you live by.

Try to make the most of every day. Life is too short and you never know what is around the corner so go out and enjoy the little things in life and appreciate everything that’s good in your life 😊.

Thanks for reading and thank you Melanie for some more great questions.

Wayne ✌🏽

  1. Thank you for Sharing Your World Wrookieschu! You did an excellent job with your post too! I liked your gratitude statement, that’s very wise indeed. Sydney? Australia? Well now there’s three of you that I ‘know’ in Australia! G’day mate. I think to be a really good nurse one has to like most people, because nurses see folks at their absolute worst most of the time, and it takes a LOT of patience and compassion not to start yelling back at them (at least it would for me). Have a great week!

    1. Thanks a lot Melanie. Yes you definitely have to like people and patience is needed for sure 😊. I love your questions, thanks for creating your posts every week.

  2. Yass!!! A male Nurse!!!! WAHOOOO!!! My husband is a hard-working Nurse too so it was nice to see another of his amazing kind out there 🙂 I loved the answers to your questions. I can’t believe you PURPOSELY spend your time in the gym, though! I aspire to be that good one day. Lol. Big hug xx

    1. Thanks so much Janet. I love being a nurse and here in Sydney there are so many male nurses, at least compared to nursing in Ireland. Great to hear your husband is a nurse too 😊. Yes I love the gym now. It wasn’t always the case but I forced myself to go about 5 years ago and once I started to see results, it inspired me to keep going. Now I couldn’t live without it. Never thought I would ever be a gym junkie 🤣.
