Tuesday Thoughts 💭 – Share your World 22/03/22

For today’s post I want to reply to Melanie’s post which you can find here on SHARE YOUR WORLD. I love the idea of sharing our thoughts. Ps. I just missed my spot to hop off the train by about three stops. The joys of being engrossed in the blogosphere 😬.

What very common thing have you never done?

I have never been married to the opposite sex.

Are we morally obligated to be charitable, if we have the means to?

This is a really tough question. I don’t think we are morally obligated but it is the right thing to do. We should want to help others as decent human beings. I feel morally obligated to help Ukraine but feel so helpless as a single entity to do anything significant.

What is the most amazing fact you know?

That the sun will rise again tomorrow.

What’s your favorite sandwich and why?

Chicken and cheese all the way!

Something that inspires me…

The youth of today inspire me, especially their stance on global warming and wanting to improve the world we live in.

Thanks for taking the time to read my Tuesday Thoughts and thanks to Melanie for the inspiration.

By the way, I actually can’t believe this but I have just missed my train spot again on the return train!!!!! No more blogging for me this morning 🤦🏼‍♂️.

Wayne ✌🏽

  1. ‘Tuesday thoughts’ sounds fun. I was about to miss my flight last week because I was too busy blogging in the airport ( and I had been earlier than normal to the airport).
The Ukraine crisis is unfortunate. It’s especially distressing that it’s happening in front of us and we can do nothing about it.
‘The sun will rise again’ is a fact and it keeps us hopeful.

  2. What very common thing have you never done? Traveled outside of the U.S.

Are we morally obligated to be charitable, if we have the means to? I think we are morally obligated to relieve someone’s suffering , even momentarily, if we have the means to do so e.g. give food to the hungry, shelter to the homeless, prevent physical harm when possible, show compassion towards those hurting. Even the simple act of holding a hand, giving a hug, or sharing a smile or tear says ‘I see you, I hear you, I care.”

What is the most amazing fact you know? Almost every struggle and challenge known to humanity has been survived or overcome by someone.

What’s your favorite sandwich and why? Reuben. It’s flavor perfection on bread.

Something that inspires me? Friends who suffer from chronic illness but manage to keep on handling life with unlimited strength and optimism.

    1. Oh wow thanks for sharing! I agree with all your points too and I love a good Reuben too 😋. I can’t believe you have never left the US. I guess it has everything there and each state is very different. I’ve been to the US a few times but so much still that I want to see and do there.

  3. Thanks Wayne for Sharing Your World! Welcome! I’m sorry about your train stops, sometimes we are reading something so engrossing that we just lose track of time and where we might be! It’s all good! There are a few folks who have never been married to anybody for various reasons and no judgment on that. We all have our preferences. 🙂 I hope you have a great week and thanks again for participating!

  4. I have poor sense of direction. I had to double check when I took bus…and that was to make sure it was going the right way. Terrible things happen in the Ukraine. No age or gender is spared from the destruction.

  5. This was such a fun read! I feel the same way you do about Ukraine and other countries that are suffering from war. I wish we could help them somehow but it’s not always possible to do so. We can do almost nothing to be honest.
